August 2011 - Greetings from
Ternopil, Ukraine!
I am writing you this from the site of what will be
a historic event in this city and in Ukraine.
History is being written. Since the 3rd of August
this city has been blitzed with total saturation
evangelism. Perhaps the only city where such a
massive outreach was undertaken in Ukraine.
God has already answered many prayers. The weather
turned from cold with a deluge of rain to a
beautiful and sunny 80 degree week. Unlike the
division that exists in many places there is a great
unity among Christians here. The "I Believe in
Jesus" campaign has received backing and support
from Pentecostal, Charismatic and Baptist Churches
as well as Lutheran, Catholic and Orthodox. This is
unheard of.
70,000 New Testaments and Christian Books were given
out to the residents of this city. There were
outreaches to orphanages, homes for the elderly,
drug and alcohol depended persons, cancer patients
and doctors. Concerts with well known bands from
Ukraine and Belarus with testimonies from former
Miss Ukraine and other well known Christians were
held throughout the city. Parks were cleaned and
playgrounds repaired. Many lives were touched and
many people accepted Christ as Savior. The news
media has been covering the events positively and
giving live daily updates.
Never in the history of this city was there been a
Christian event in the Central Square. A concert
with a Belarusian band is in progress. We just heard
the testimony from current Miss Ukraine in
Wheelchair. She came to Christ after a car accident.
Tomorrow we culminate with a large evangelistic
campaign. I will be preaching to an anticipated
10,000 persons. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to
draw many people to Christ. I am believing for a
large harvest of souls.
As many of you are praying for revival and God's
blessing in the USA please also remember Ukraine.
